Micro- and Nanoplastics Linked to Parkinson’s and Dementia Experts say the new findings add to evidence linking plastics pollution to disease, urge political action to reduce environmental toxins. ***** After 61 years I can still hear the Birds during Spring! *****   That plastic water bottle you regularly drink from could one day decompose into tiny particles that wreak havoc in your brain. New research shows that nanoplastics—microscopic particles broken down from everyday plastic items—bind to proteins associated with Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia. These stealthy nanoparticles have already infiltrated our soil, water, and food supply. Now, they may pose the next great toxin threat, fueling a wave of neurodegenerative disease. Plastic Cups, Utensils Identified as Risk Factors Polystyrene nanoparticles, commonly found in plastic cups and utensils, bind to alpha-synuclein, a protein linked to Parkinson’s disease and Lewy body dementia, the new study from Duke

Electrosmog

Key Points The study of electricity should be restored to biology and medicine. Personal wireless communication must be phased out because the radiation that carries all the messages is destroying life on earth. Mobile phones must be replaced with landline phones, WiFi with ethernet cables, and other wireless consumer devices with devices connected by wires and cables. Mobile phone antennas and masts must be phased out and removed. Wireless technology must be removed from vehicles. Smart meters must be replaced with analog meters. Smart highways, smart cities, and the Internet of Things must cease being developed and deployed. Radar stations must be limited in number, location and power. Radar (microwave) ovens should not be used for heating food. An international treaty on electrosmog, addressing radiation on land, in the oceans, and in space, must be drafted. Introduction Electrosmog is the totality of the electric fields, magnetic fields, and electromagnetic radiation that bathes

How the Obesity-Industrial Complex Keeps Americans Sick, Fat, and Sad

The United States spends more money   per capita   on healthcare than any other country on Earth –   almost twice as much as Germany and triple Japan . To emphasize, this is the average spending on an individual level, so it’s triple the spending of Japan per person. Source:  Peterson-KFF Health System Tracker And what do Americans get for all that spending? The US is  the fattest  and the sickest in terms of chronic disease rates in the world. Per  Statista , “the CDC estimates that six in ten adults in the United States currently live with a chronic disease such as cancer, heart disease, or diabetes.” You probably know someone personally – in all likelihood, multiple people – who suffers from a chronic health condition. Much of that disease burden is due to obesity. “Adult obesity rates have more than doubled since the 1980s — in the U.S. today, obesity affects over 42% of adults and 18% of youth. Obesity and its related complications are major drivers of rising healthcare costs, d
