The Deep State

Image
The Deep State by Alexander Dugin Alexander Dugin Alexander Dugin reveals the deep state as a corrupt Western cabal, infiltrating the U.S. and Europe to manipulate elections, crush populist leaders like Donald Trump, and impose its liberal-globalist agenda by deceitfully posing as a protector of democracy while ruthlessly subverting the will of the people. The term “deep state” is increasingly used today in political discourse, transitioning from journalism into common political language. However, the term itself is becoming somewhat vague, with different interpretations emerging. It is, therefore, essential to take a closer look at the phenomenon described as the “deep state” and understand when and where this concept first entered into use. This phrase first appeared in Turkish politics in the 1990s, describing a very specific situation in Turkey. In Turkish, “deep state” is  derin devlet . This is crucial because all subsequent uses of this concept are in some way connected to the

Emmanuel Todd: Nato will disintegrate if Ukraine loses

Thanks  to Saint  Jimmy for recommending this article... Emmanuel Todd: Nato will disintegrate if Ukraine loses By  Rob Lownie Nato will “disintegrate” if Ukraine loses its war with Russia, according to the French historian and public intellectual Emmanuel Todd. Speaking to Italian newspaper Corriere di Bologna this week, Todd claimed that “if Russia is defeated in Ukraine, European submission to the Americans will last for a century”, but that if the US-backed Ukrainian effort fails, “Nato will disintegrate and Europe will be left free.” The comments were made during a tour to promote the Italian edition of Todd’s book The Defeat of the West, in which the author attributes Western decline to the increased secularisation of Anglosphere society and argues that European powers are becoming increasingly dependent on the United States. As he sees it, the Ukraine war has only highlighted this wider malaise. In the interview with Corriere di Bologna, he claimed that “the Ukrainian army is

Perfidy in Tehran

Image
Perfidy in Tehran Alastair Crooke     The West is in the throes of at least one, potentially two, crushing defeats at the moment – and so the question arises: Will lessons be learned? John Kerry, just last  week  at the  World Economic Forum , so clearly blurting out the truth:  “Our First Amendment stands as a major block to our ability to be able to hammer [disinformation] out of existence”. Translated: Governing is all about narrative control. Kerry articulates the ‘International Order’s’ solution to the unwelcome phenomenon of an uncontrolled populism and of a potential leader who speaks for the people: Simply, ‘freedom to speak’ is unacceptable to the prescriptions agreed by the ‘inter-agency’ – the institutionalised distillation of the ‘International Order’. Eric Weinstein  calls  this  The Unburdening:  The first Amendment; gender; merit; sovereignty; privacy; ethics; investigative journalism; borders; freedom … the Constitution? Gone? Today’s reality unhinged narration is tha

Of Cool Heads and Hot Heads

Image
Of Cool Heads and Hot Heads Philip Kraske   Ever more desperate, Israel is working hard to start a world war with the United States on its side. The elimination of  Hassan Nasrallah  won’t make much difference to Hezbollah’s fight; the new leader will soon step up. But Israel might regret the absence of the cool-headed Nasrallah. Cool-headedness has actually been the norm this past year, and is among the few hopeful notes on the international scene. Lots of leaders are keeping calm, holding back the factions in their governments that would love to take a crack at the folks thumbing their military noses at them. China merely tut-tuts about foreign navy ships traversing the Strait of Taiwan, Hezbollah keeps its big missiles in their silos, Iran responds to Israeli attacks with a few half-hearted firecrackers, and Vladimir Putin frowns and issues warning after warning when Ukraine, with Nato help, hits Russian refineries and radar installations. Meanwhile Egypt, Jordan, Iran, Syria, and
