Decision in November 2024

Image
Decision in November 2024 Illusion of Choice, Delusion of Triumph Back in the day, a liberal Jewish cartoonist named Herbert Block (pen name “Herblock”) gave every new president a free shave. In the case of Richard Nixon, whom he usually portrayed with a very heavy late-in-the-day beard even at dawn, this was seen at the time as giving him – editorially speaking – a fresh start. These days, I expect Herblock would at least give Donald Trump a free haircut, no matter how much he disliked his politics. For my part, I consider presidential elections to be orchestrated and I believe voting matter little in the grand scheme of things. Nonetheless, Trump deserves a measure of respect for transcending what he and his family and friends endured in recent years. I’d be willing to clean Herblock’s clippers and sweep up after he was done. Nor will I soon forget Melania Trump’s smile – I’ll bet she has a list or three. So What Did Happen? Many people are using terms like “landside,” “steamroller

The Hollow Empire

The Hollow Empire The civilization has become hollow, but we do not have to be. Morgoth In an earlier, more innocent internet age, a joke went around that if you typed ‘‘Google’’ into Google search enough times, the internet would meltdown and destroy itself. It never happened, though not for the lack of trying on my part. Still, I always enjoyed the idea, its call-back infinity loops, an inversion of the Asimovian paradox of artificial intelligence saving humans by enslaving them or, more recently, eradicating ‘‘transphobia’’ by eradicating humans. I asked Xitter’s ‘‘Grok’’ AI to justify its existence morally, and it replied with reems of technocratic waffle about increasing positive outcomes, encouraging human flourishing, and even being a friend to lonely hearts. Its summary of its own purpose is: The moral justification of my existence, therefore, hinges on balancing these benefits against the potential harms, ensuring that my development and deployment are guided by ethical cons

What Is AI Really? Digital Illusions, False Promises And Mass Reeducation

What Is AI Really? Digital Illusions, False Promises And Mass Reeducation By Brandon Smith Much fanfare has been lavished on the concept of Artificial Intelligence in the past five years to the point that its primacy is treated in the media as a forgone conclusion. The idea that algorithms can “think” has become a pervading myth, a sci-fi fantasy come to life. The reality is much less impressive… We continually hear from globalists at the World Economic Forum and other elitist institutions that AI is the catalyst for  the “4 th  Industrial Revolution”  – A technological singularity that will supposedly change every aspect of our society forever. I keep waiting for the moment that AI does something significant in terms of advancing human knowledge or making our lives better. The moment never comes. In fact, the globalists keep moving the goalposts for what AI really is. I would note that WEF zealots like Yuval Harari talk about AI like it is the rise of an all powerful deity (I discus

We're told it's anti-Semitic to say things about Israel that are absolutely true

We're told it's anti-Semitic to say things about Israel that are absolutely true The only sure-fire way to avoid accusations is to agree with lies When a demon like Rupert Murdoch is forced to grovel, who does he grovel to? The answer is Satan of course. Rupert Murdoch is someone world leaders grovel to because they know if they fall out of his favour, it can be the end, but even the mogul who decides the outcome of western elections grovels to Benjamin Netanyahu. In 2013, The Sunday Times published the following  cartoon  from Gerald Scarfe, captioned: “Will cementing the peace continue?” One day later, Rupert Murdoch tweeted: “Gerald Scarfe has never reflected the opinions of The Sunday Times. Nevertheless, we owe major apology for grotesque, offensive cartoon.” The Sunday Times editor issued a more detailed apology that I won’t bore you with the details of, but it was along the lines of: “We stepped out of line by criticising Israel’s war crimes and will not do so again.
