  Epstein, Springsteen, and Trumpenstein Same old same old Donald Jeffries When we last checked in on our dashing hero Donald Trump, he was enthusiastically salivating over the chance to sign the “Take it Down” internet censorship bill. A few days ago, he did indeed sign this very Orwellian legislation. Most of us don’t deal in “revenge porn,” whatever that is, but we have good reason to fear this odious act. So that’s at least one thing Trump  has  accomplished thus far in his second go round; making it even more difficult for truly dissenting views to be accessed online. And this is also the only thing the Republican majority in the House and Senate- you know, the alternative to the hopelessly evil “Woke” Democrats- has managed to do. In that editorial, I noted the extent of US Special Forces penetration into Africa and examined the geopolitical reality underlying this covert invasion: Even a cursory review of the evidence shows that one important reason the US is deploying so many commandos to Africa in the first place is precisely to counter Chinese interests on the continent. And, as I pointed out at the time, China was playing its own part in this neo-colonial struggle for influence in Africa. Rather than seeking a military footprint on the continent, however, China has been engaged in "checkbook diplomacy," reinvesting its capital from the economic boom of recent decades in infrastructure projects and other  Belt and Road  initiatives in Africa.
