The 5th Generation Warfare Invasion of Europe Matt Bracken I was just now listening to Andrei Martyanov, interviewed by Daniel Davis on his Deep Dive podcast. In the middle of their discussion, Martyanov mentioned an idea that has long been on my mind. In my humble and untutored opinion, American and NATO military leaders are still stuck in the 20th Century model of expeditionary warfare, which in 2026 is as obsolete as the horse cavalry charge. Martyanov discusses this about 23 minutes into the video, but listen to it all. You might have heard me writing and speaking recently about how the 1991 "Desert Storm" model of massive force assembly into the theater before conducting a major operation has been made obsolete by the proliferation of accurate missiles and drones to even 2nd and 3rd tier militaries.
