your papers please (well, unless it's to vote, then you're fine!) el gato malo they said they would never do this. but, of course, they did. but even on top of this nasty oppressive campaign of “jim covid” (which looks, based on demographic patterns for vaccination more and more like actual jim crow) another jarring issue arises: it’s been pretty wild watching the exact same people who have spent a decade declaiming any and all attempts to require ID to vote in america as racist attempts at voter suppression to disenfranchise minorities who lack ID or are uncomfortable providing it (a near 100% baseless claim) flip to demanding not just proof of vaccination (which minorities disproportionately lack) but ALSO these same ID’s that are apparently too difficult to obtain for voting. i mean, how is anyone supposed to take that dichotomy seriously? though a couple of potential solutions jump to mind: these people are not even trying to make sense. it’s all just weaponized tactical mo
