Just weeks after the FBI claimed to not know  where Hunter’s laptop is ,  none of the four defendants  on trial for the Gretchen Whitmer kidnapping plot were convicted, with two found not guilty and two mistrials. The jury questioned the  extensive presence  the FBI had in the plot itself  (at least twice as many FBI plants as actual defendants) , as well as the  ‘fortunate’ coincidence  that one of the agents operated a security firm designed to handle exactly this type of plot. It’s hard to overstate what a blow this is to the FBI’s already-dwindling credibility. Indeed, the entire plot is a throwback to the  ‘War on Terror’  days of the FBI planning a ‘terror attack’, only to step in at the last minute and ‘save the day’. …the circumstances of the case and the megaphone the Justice Department used to publicize it were familiar.
