The loss of Ukraine is the beginning of the end

The loss of Ukraine is the beginning of the end “On the eve of the collapse of the Roman Empire, silver coins were so impure and depreciated that whole bags of it were used in circulation.” laughlyn (johan eddebo) All of this is about energy and resources. Capital is nothing but a proxy for goods, services, and the fundamentals of our means of production. Depreciation of the currency is a short-term solution to resource scarcities by externalizing them through exploiting the perceived value of a trusted medium of exchange. This is exactly why we have runaway inflation right now. Energy is the single most important resource, bar none. All forms of economic activity is predicated on available surplus energy as per the laws of thermodynamics. Before the covid situation, Europe and the US each consumed about 20 million barrels of oil per day, totaling around 40 million barrels of oil. Every single day. The shortfall in petroleum production before the Ukraine war was about six million...

You’ve Probably Never Been ‘Woman Of The Year,’ But These 9 Men Have BY:  ELLE PURNELL Nothing says ‘we respect women’ like elbowing them out of their own awards to laud a man who makes a mockery of womanhood. Here are eight other men who have displaced women at their own game. Rachel Levine Finke’s predecessor as USA Today’s token male W...

The Season is Here

The Season is Here James Howard Kunstler “Depend upon it, sir, when a man knows he is to be hanged in a fortnight, it concentrates his mind wonderfully.” — Samuel Johnson Of course, the newspaper  USA Today   chose transgender activist Leigh Finke for its   Women of the Year  award because in the USA of the here-and-now (today, for instance), boundaries are a thing of the past, and if a woman of the year happens to come with the “package” that signifies male-of-the-species, you’d better ignore that and go along with the gag — or prepare for the punishments that will come down until your morale improves.      The transgender movement has crystalized into the Party of Chaos’s favored instrument for enforcing its ethos of unreality on a population obdurately stuck on thinking in categories, on making  hateful  distinctions between things. Better to live in a protective miasma of undifferentiated sensation than a cruel state based on ...
