the security state turns inward

the security state turns inward

this is the devolution to dictatorship

honest question:

is anyone even remotely surprised by these sorts of revelations anymore?

this appears to have been the default state all over the world. throughout the west, military and militarized information and propaganda groups waged overt war on their own people.

this was not “the russians.” it was us. our own security states turned on us, manipulated us, and tried to prevent us from speaking our minds or seeing the truth.

this was not some exception. this was seemingly everywhere and it looks like perhaps we have just enough freedom left from the freedom of information acts to let us pry some of this activity out into the light where it can be seen.

but the bigger questions remain: just how much of this remains opaque?

what are we not being told?

because i’ll wager my whiskers this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Much of the Government’s wider work on disinformation is shrouded in secrecy for “national security” reasons. Large parts of official documents are still redacted.

and this is simply not a power one may in safety cede to the state.

it will be misused, and egregiously. it rapidly overflows the banks of any river course and spills over into unaccountable public private “partnership” cum capture whereby media dependent on state regulation to operate must kowtow and comply in order to survive.

and make no mistake, these “units” may get justified using health or climate, but they are primarily about something else altogether.

these are intelligence agencies rigging domestic elections just as they have done in so many foreign countries.

i am increasingly starting to wonder about the extent to which the covid and biosecurity issues here were merely incidental as part of a bigger push that had to do with making sure the “right sort” of governments are put in place all over the west.

this just happened to be the tool that came to hand.

they will call it “fighting foreign influence” but then, they always do, don’t they? that’s a joke as old and tired as “hey, did you hear the one about you giving the state your liberty so it can give you safety?”

and we all know how that one goes…

meanwhile, here at home, the testimony in the missouri v biden case remains astonishing. the disdain for the first amendment and claim of prerogative to violate it is nothing short of villainous.

let’s look:

but wait, it gets worse:

i for one am terribly curious: “depends upon what?”

what on earth could serve as predicate permission to be allowed to discuss the cause of high prices or the fairness of elections?

and who could anyone trust to decide or adjudicate such a thing?

and what basis exists to even countenance must less support a state with such ambitions?

the disgraceful security theater of our security state for so long used to manipulate and destabilize politics and elections abroad has been turned inward and the scope has become near unlimited. politicians are being dragged into show trials for imaginary infractions and conjured collusion while those who actually are doing these very things are protected from criticism, their misdeeds and misanthropy masked, ignored, and vanished.

this is a self-serving aristocracy that has become utterly overt in its actions.

and it needs to be excised.

"the system" in which we live seems determined to surface the same bad choices as last time everyone will tut and say "oh, it's the lesser of evils why do we never have good choices? sigh."

then the tribalism kicks in and it's "we must vote for OUR bad choice because THEIRS is worse!"

Image

this is the mindset of the forever serf and it's becoming less and less important who gets elected because most of the real durable power has moved into the permanent state of bureaucracy and security apparatus which has become a vast unelected constituency unto itself.

this must be ripped out, root and stem.

the size of the task will always look daunting & those who control the information flow will always seek to make it look impossible.

but it's not.

we have been here before and we have come back from it.

the terrifying fascism of wilson & FDR was like this.

and we recovered.

i think the cool kids from davos/global governance gang overplayed their hand and went too far, too fast on topics that fell apart in real time and an awful lot of people saw it.

the difficult part will be galvanizing it into something productive.

the challenge lies in the natural human trait to forget, revert, and settle down when the proximate insult recedes.

i see a lot of “red pilled” people talking and milling around, but will they make the changes actually needed to head this off or are we just waiting for the next one?

but first we must scope the problem because we cannot solve this from inside a rigged system providing no real choice.

it is the system that must be dismantled for choice to emerge.

no one is going to set you free.

we have to do it ourselves.

Image

it starts with recognizing that every regulation, rule, license, mandate, and certification required to live, work, build, or breathe is dictatorial and that trading liberty for safety inevitably and always yields neither.

and the answer truly is simple

Image

we just need to start.

stop worry about “how to solve the whole.”

just pick up the piece in front of you and start.

add a little liberty.

remove control, oversight, regulation.

disobey. peacefully but implacably.

strive to be ungovernable.

stop imagining that a powerful state is the source of safety.

if we want better, we must strive for better.

consider the alternative.
